Hi my name is Raf - welcome to RISR!
I'm an experienced corporate executive with decades of experience as a practitioner, leader, coach, and mentor.
On this channel I'm covering the topics I had to learn the "hard way" to accelerate my career, as well as the most frequently requested advice I've given to others. Topics we will be covering include career management, leadership, time management, productivity, strategy, consulting skills, and more.
My own career began with many years of low wage, repetitive and physical tasks - which took a toll on my body and mind. My journey to success through many twists and turns inspired me to help others along the way. Now my mission is to help YOU go further, faster...

Really I. Scared really
Thanks for this , very simple to understand yet very powerful
Wow Great content Keep it up That’s so useful and I intend to follow the plan to the end I’m starting a new position within a week and I’m getting prepared right now Your videos help me a lot So THANK YOU
Very useful tips Thank you so much for the useful content
One of the best explanations for Pareto chart in RUclips. Thanks😊
Really good video
great presentation. ty
I have taken an interest in stocks and investing. I am curious about applying the pareto analysis to this. Can't you create a video on how to apply this to investors?
This channel is focussed around how to go further, faster in your career so unlikely that I’ll cover stock investing. I will, however, recommend that you look into the topic of Trading Analaysis, and look into some really excellent tools such as Tradingview (my personal favourite) which includes a number of these in their free package. Also, some of the best TAs out there are in the crypto space, and their skills are totally transferable to ordinary stocks, so it’s worth checking out YT channels such as Benjamin Cowen and Jason Pellegrino for tools and tips. Suggest you also read The Intelligent Investor by Ben Graham (Warren Buffetts mentor). Pareto is way too simplistic for trading imo.
@@risrcareers ok, I'll look into it.
Wow
Great video thank you for the tips!
Your explanations are very good, with simple examples and easy to follow, immediately I can apply them in my work
Glad to hear it - mission accomplished!
Thanks!! You helped a lot ❤
I am starting a new role as a fabrication supervisor in the fixed plant maintenance section mining industry,I need this tip
Congrats on the role - how did you go?
Abit confuse on the first day of work
Intro hits me 100% exactly where my anxiety stress comes from
It is indeed a brief and understandable explanation compared to others available on the web
Im getting prometed to a team lead in retail. This video helps a lot I start tomorrow in my new role.
Congratulations !!! 🎊 👏🏽
@@notapottopissin7493 Thank you 😀
Congrats - let us know how you go!
I was an Auditor but i got a new job as a finance officer , i will be in charge of the finance department. I lam having some doubt on myself but this video made me realise we are greater than we think. Thank you.😊
Congratulations - all the best!
I love how prepared I'm going to be. Talk about a boost to my confidence! My first week is going to be great. Thank you!
Amazing - all the best!
Is the data that is used to create the Pareto graph a Histogram? Thanks. Great job!
Not exactly. Paretos and histograms are both visual representations of data. Histograms illustrate the distribution of data, and show the “shape” of the data of a variable. If you were showing how many dirty rooms there were each day over the course of a year, a histogram would be a better way of displaying this than a Pareto. Hope that helps a little!
I am a successful candidate as fabrication first time meet team I think this will hell me
❤ I love this
❤
The content is great, but I had to put you on 0.75 speed so I could realy sink in the messages you share. That way it is easier to listen.

Hi - I’m not sure what this means?
Is it posible to look at inefficiencies without describing the steps. I think going into steps is time consuming
Yes it is, but all depends on the problem you’re trying to solve. This is a tool that’s useful to get a sense of the process as an holistic overview. Generally speaking, a process map (flow diagram) - which is somewhat different from this - is a good starting point to understand process inefficiencies, but that also takes effort. Sometimes inefficiencies are very apparent and can be worked on without the need to map. But you might still need to do a bit of work to understand and fix the causes. Very difficult to answer properly without actually seeing the problem/opportunity in detail. There will be more episodes on this topic and how to solve problems of inefficiencies and ineffectiveness, so stay tuned!
Just about a month ago my direct manager told me that soon he's gonna announce me a leader and I'll have to lead the team, ever since I think about the position and roles everyday! I really hope that I can make it to the position that he's holding for me, as well as being able to be a great learder like I wish to be, I'll be back to this in years for updates🤘🏼❤
This is the best subscription I've clicked. I will be binge watching & taking notes. My leadership style is situational. Thank you!
Great stuff - thank you! Lots more to come….
Super beneficial ! Finally someone who made this so simple to understand!

Hiya man, this was very well done. I have subscribed. It truly saved me tons of time by understanding SIPOC in such an interesting way, using coffee making as an example waaaaooooo. THANK Youuuuuuuu ❤❤❤
Thank you so much 🙏
It was indeed informative and on addition i find it easier using the 6M's on the input stage....MACHINES,MATERIALS,MAN POWER,MOTHER NATURE(ENVIRONMENT),MEASUREMENT AND METHODS.
Thank you. I’m in the process of making my list. I have 1 major project right now after one week of being at my arts organization. I have a few smaller projects that I’m compiling now since my supervisor is out of the office 3 days a week, which is great for me because I will use that time to complete the small projects by the time she returns. My ultimate goal is to have the small wins first so I can keep building trust. So that by my first 90 days, I can obtain more trust and more projects that meet my expertise and help alleviate unnecessary anxiety from my supervisor, which ultimately helps our company maintain it’s forward mobility.
Sounds great - please come back and let us know how you went!
@@risrcareersChecking in, I’ve been on the job for a month this week and I’ve already made major progress within the company. I’m being given more responsibility, I helped our company raise $300k since we’ve had 4 fundraising events since I’ve started. I’ve taken over projects that I discussed prior all before the fiscal year ends in 2 months, which will be my 90 day mark.
@dapperbowtique2696 amazing!!! 🤩
In the first 10 minutes of meeting your new team, the fear is being judged by them right off the bat. They are looking to see how nervous you are. If you go in with confidence, then you are one step ahead of your team. I had this fear, but my team (direct reports) was small, 8 people. So I thought one ice-breaker was to bring in a dozen donuts. Food always puts people as ease and for that moment, they are not judging you per say, but, seeing a manager who wants to succeed.
can i get management skill ,free books ?
I’m sure you can find free summaries online if you’re curious 😊
Who are here starting new job soon congratulations 🎉 you made it !
Thank you so much🙏🏻 starting new job in 1 month will Follow this

I’m a team Lead at the largest retail company in the US. It seems like my managers are more focused on what we didn’t do vs what we did do. Highly demoralizing tactics are ineffective
Oh dear I’m sorry to hear that. Agree with you 100%!
